Garbage Collection Overview
Residential garbage service is provided by the City of Fond du Lac Solid Waste Division through an automated curbside collection system. Customers are required to purchase a 65 or 95 gallon cart for the disposal and collection of garbage. Residential garbage should be placed in the all green cart and is collected once per week. Carts should be placed out by 5:00 a.m. and are required, per City Ordinance, to be removed from the curb by 9:00 a.m. the following day of collection.
Garbage Cart Purchase
Garbage carts can be purchased for $58.00; payment can be mailed to the City Payments, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, WI 54936-0150 and in-person at the City Payment Office, 160 S Macy Street or Municipal Service Center, 530 Doty Street.
If you missed your collection time, please call 920-322-3544 and the City will try to collect to garbage.
Recycling Collection Overview
Residential recycling service is currently provided by Waste Management Services. Recycling services are also provided through an automatic curbside collection. Waste Management collects recyclables once every other week in conjunction with the solid waste collection day. Recycling carts are green and gold in color and provided to residents through Waste Management. Residents can contact Waste Management to request a recycling cart or direct questions regarding recycling by calling 1-888-960-0008.
