NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received in the City Administrative Office at the City\/County Government Center (CCGC), 160 South Macy Street, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until 2:00 P.M. CST, Thursday, July 30th, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project quantities include but are not limited to the following described approximate quantities of work:
\nSCOPE OF WORK
\n\u2022 Furnish labor, equipment and materials to remove existing 991 feet of fence and replace with new.
\n\u2022 Install 48 lineal feet of 24-foot-high heavy duty industrial chain link fence as backstop, 160 lineal feet of 12 -foot -high, 60 lineal feet of 8- foot- high and 698 lineal feet of 6- foot- high heavy duty industrial chain link fence. All posts are to be set in concrete in the same location as current posts.
\n\u2022 Install (1) 12\u2019 wide x 6-foot-high double swing gate and (2) 4\u2019 wide x 6 -foot-high single swing gates.
\n\u2022 Terminal posts are 4\u201d diameter and line post are 2 \u00bd\u201d diameter. The top, middle and bottom rails are 1 5\/8\u201d and chain link fence wire is 2\u201d x 9g galvanized steel core wire.<\/p>\n

All bids shall be prepared on the bid forms provided in the specifications and shall remain attached thereto, and shall be addressed to City of Fond du Lac, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Bids may not be delivered by facsimile transmission or other telecommunication or electronic means. Each bid\u2019s outermost envelope shall be properly identified on the face thereof \u201cBID FOR ADELAIDE PARK BASEBALL DIAMOND FENCING, NO. 2026-070\u201d. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (30) thirty days after the opening of said bids, without the consent of the Procurement Administrator. The City of Fond du Lac may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of any reason. The failure to make a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action against the City. The City also reserves the right to waive any formalities or informalities in bidding, and to select the bid that, in its opinion, will best serve the interests of the City.<\/p>\n

No bid will be opened unless the “Bidder’s Proof of Responsibility” for 2026 is filed and approved at least (5) five calendar days before the scheduled time for opening of bids. Reference is made to Section 66.0901(2) & (3) Wisconsin Statutes. The Director of Public Works decision as to qualifications shall be final. Bidder\u2019s Proof of Responsibility can be obtained from www.fdl.wi.gov\/administration\/purchasing\/.<\/p>\n

Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, or bank draft, payable to the City of Fond du Lac, or satisfactory bid bond, in the amount of 5% of the gross bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted as the successful bid, such successful bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and performance bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
