Re: Public Service Announcement – Household Electronics Recycling
The City of Fond Du Lac Municipal Service Center is collaborating with RecycleThatStuff.com to offer a one-week electronic recycling event beginning Monday, June 12th 2023 through Saturday, June 17th. This event will be located at the Municipal Service Center Bulky Waste Drop-Off Site at 490 Doty Street during regular hours of operation. Hours of operation can be found at www.fdl.wi.gov/public-works/bulky-waste-disposal/ under “Hours of Operation”. This recycling event is available for City of Fond Du Lac Residents Only. Payment for items dropped is CASH ONLY, credit cards and checks will not be accepted.
Listed Below are the details and fees associated with items that can be dropped off.
- Recycling fees for Televisions
- Flat and CRT TVs (29” and Under) – $20.00
- Flat and CRT TVs (30” – 49”) – $40.00
- Flat and CRT TVs (50” and Over) – $60.00
- Wood Console or Projection TVs – $60.00
- Recycling fee for all CRT Computer Monitors $20.00
- Recycling Fee for Microwaves – $15.00
- Recycling Fee for Large Copy Machines – $15.00
There are NO FEES for the Following items: Computers, Laptops, Hard Drives, Printers, Scanners, VCR & DVD Players, Fax Machines, Radio, Stereo, Typewriter, Keyboard, Mice, Circuit Boards, Cables, Cellular Phones, Telephones, Cameras, Camcorders, Cordless Power Tools, Video Games, Small Kitchen Appliances, and other small electronics.
*** City Staff has the right to refuse any items if they do not feel that it falls within the electronic recycling parameters. ***
The City would like remind residents that leaves, grass clippings, Christmas trees and other yard waste or garden material may be brought to the City Municipal Service Center located at 530 Doty Street and placed in the mulch bin free. This service is for City of Fond du Lac Residents Only. There are signs on Doty Street directing you to the drop off area. The mulch bin is always open and located north of the Municipal Service Center. The waste should be dropped on the north end of the gated area. All debris must be removed from bagged form and the bags can be disposed of in the refuse carts available on site.
