Weights & Measures

The City of Fond du Lac enforces Weights & Measures by contract with the State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection monitors the accuracy of gas station pumps, checkout scanners, grocery store packages and scales, saving the average Wisconsin family up to $600 a year. If you encounter scanning errors, suspect an incorrect weight or feel that the gasoline pump is registering more gallons than it is actually dispensing, call the Division of Consumer Protection at 800-422-7128.
