Join our crew of friendly and cheerful people at the Fond du Lac Public Library as a Library Clerk.\u00a0 Duties and tasks include welcoming people to the Library, answering account related questions, and ensuring materials flow quickly and efficiently through the Library. Clerks help customers open library accounts, update contact information, and assist people with checking out materials.<\/p>\n

Library Clerks are part of the Circulation Department, take direction form the Circulation Team Specialist and report to the Assistant Library Director. Fundamental knowledge of computers, the ability to alphabetize, follow directions, work independently, and bend\/stretch\/reach are essential.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0 will be the first point of contact for our library visitors and will be responsible for all interactions at the checkout desk. The ideal candidate must enjoy helping people of all ages, be comfortable with technology, pay close attention to detail, and be able to work independently and with a team.<\/p>\n

The schedule varies from week to week and will include at least one assigned evening per week and every other weekend. Flexibility to work other shifts may be required. Work schedule is typically published 2 weeks in advance.<\/p>\n

Hours: Part-time position (average 19.5 hours\/week)
\nAssigned work schedules are typically four 4-hour shifts during the week + every other weekend (4.5 hours daily on Sat and Sun).<\/p>\n

Starting salary: $22.10 per hour.<\/p>\n
