The Fond du Lac Police Department will be conducting a continuous recruitment process.<\/p>\n<p>As the Fond du Lac area demographics continue to diversify, the Fond du Lac Police Department will be actively soliciting applications from qualified minority candidates as well as candidates fluent in second languages.\u00a0 The City of Fond du Lac is an Equal Opportunity Employer.<\/p>\n<p>Salary &amp; Benefits: Starting salary of $68,308.00 plus benefits, includes but is not limited to paid vacation, holiday premium pay, uniform allowance, sick leave, health, life insurance, and retirement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"md:col-span-8 sm:col-span-11 sm:col-start-2 col-span-12\">\n<div class=\"w-full bg-white sm:mt-6 mt-4 rounded-2xl sm:px-10 px-5 sm:pt-10 pt-5 sm:pb-2 pb-1\">\n<div id=\"text\" class=\"lg:text-&#091;28px&#093; lg:leading-tight sm:text-xl sm:leading-tight text-lg leading-tight text-neutral-600 font-serif sm:*:mb-6 *:mb-4\">\n<p><strong>Various duties and responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Routinely patrols the streets and public grounds of the community.<\/li>\n<li>Enforces traffic laws, issuing citations or warnings to violators.<\/li>\n<li>Investigates all traffic accidents occurring on these streets and highways within the corporate limits of the city.<\/li>\n<li>Responds to and investigates citizen complaints and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares and\/or dictates all required reports completely and promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Testifies in court as a witness.<\/li>\n<li>Operates an intoxilyzer, radar units and other equipment required.<\/li>\n<li>Assists and cooperates with other law enforcement, social, and governmental agencies when requested, and when compatible with department policy.<\/li>\n<li>Shall attend recruit and in-service training schools as required to maintain certification.<\/li>\n<li>May be required to work in the capacity of a plain-clothes officer, or other special duty assignments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>U.S. Citizen.<\/li>\n<li>At least 18 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>No felony convictions.<\/li>\n<li>Valid Wisconsin Driver\u2019s License with good driving record.<\/li>\n<li>Associate Degree or 60 college-level credits at time of appointment minimum with preference toward a Bachelor\u2019s Degree from an accredited college.<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must have the mental and physical ability to perform essential functions of a police officer and be able to use all standard police equipment, techniques and use of force options.<\/li>\n<li>Passage of a written exam, oral interviews, psychological profile, medical examination, vision examination(20\/20 correctable), drug screening, background investigation and physical fitness\/agility screening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Successful applicants will be advised of written test date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-2 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:20px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-order-medium:0;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-order-small:0;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-menu-anchor\" id=\"applynow\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><div class=\"md:col-span-8 sm:col-span-11 sm:col-start-2 col-span-12\">\n<h5>How to Apply:<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit required materials based on the requirements of the job description directly to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jbraatz@fdl.wi.gov\">Jackie Braatz.<\/a> You may also submit a physical resume to: Human Resources, Attn: Jackie Braatz \u2013 160 S.
