The Fire Fighter\/ Paramedic position is an entry level, dual role responsibility in Fond du Lac Fire\/Rescue. The Fire Fighter\/ Paramedic is a Fire Fighter who, in addition to performing routine firefighting duties, also is trained to provide Advanced Life Support medical care.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"md:col-span-8 sm:col-span-11 sm:col-start-2 col-span-12\">\n<div class=\"w-full bg-white sm:mt-6 mt-4 rounded-2xl sm:px-10 px-5 sm:pt-10 pt-5 sm:pb-2 pb-1\">\n<div id=\"text\" class=\"lg:text-[28px] lg:leading-tight sm:text-xl sm:leading-tight text-lg leading-tight text-neutral-600 font-serif sm:*:mb-6 *:mb-4\">\n<p><strong>Various duties and responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform routine firefighting duties.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Advanced Life Support medical care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Be legally entitled to work in the United States.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Be at least 18 years of age.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess a current EMT-Paramedic license <i>by date of hire.<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess an Associates or Bachelor Degree in Fire Science <i>by date of hire.<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Fire Inspector I, Haz Mat Operations, and Wisconsin Fire Apparatus Driver Operator (FADO) certificate <i>by date of hire<\/i>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Successful completion of CPAT within 12 months of application and\/or proof of full-time employment with paid Fire Rescue.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess a valid Wisconsin driver&#8217;s license. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Have vision in each eye correctable to 20\/20 with compatibility with fire rescue equipment such as breathing apparatus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sign the no-tobacco use agreement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Be of sound mental &amp; physical health and meet all established standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Successfully completed training in NIMS 100, NIMS 200, NIMS 700, and NIMS 800.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess current CPR certification.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit required materials based on the requirements of the job description directly to <a href=\"mailto:jbraatz@fdl.wi.gov\">Jackie Braatz.<\/a>\u00a0You can also submit all required documentation through <a href=\"https:\/\/nationaltestingnetwork.com\/publicsafetyjobs\/search.cfm?position=2&amp;state=WISCONSIN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NTN<\/a>.
