Domestic Violence Intervention Team

The Fond du Lac Police Department implemented the Domestic Violence Intervention (DVI) Team in June 2013.  The members of the team serve on a voluntary basis with the mission to reduce the incidences of domestic violence in the City of Fond du Lac through education and communication.  Our goal is to follow up with the victims within 72 hours of the original incident being reported to the police department to connect victims with services and resources, improve police investigations of domestic violence incidences and to decrease the frequency and severity of domestic violence incidences through education.

The Fond du Lac Police DVI Team works in conjunction with the domestic violence advocates located at St. Agnes hospital and the Solutions Center, both located in the City of Fond du Lac.

Many officers on the domestic violence intervention team have additional training in the area of domestic violence through other agencies including Wisconsin Training and Standards Board and Wisconsin Department of Justice.

DVI Team members work all three shifts for the Fond du Lac Police.  If you are in a violent relationship and wish to speak to a member of the intervention team, please contact us.
