{"id":207,"date":"2019-01-30T15:07:50","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T21:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdl.wi.gov\/police\/?page_id=207"},"modified":"2022-02-01T13:15:54","modified_gmt":"2022-02-01T19:15:54","slug":"bike-patrol","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fdl.wi.gov\/police\/bike-patrol\/","title":{"rendered":"Bike Patrol"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><h3><strong>Bike Patrol<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Fond du Lac Police Department&#8217;s Bike Patrol Team is comprised of over 30 Police Officers that are trained and certified in bike patrol applications and techniques. \u00a0Police Officers ride the bikes from April through October as an alternative to patrolling in squad cars. \u00a0This allows officers to proactively patrol downtown, congested areas, special events and problem areas in the city. \u00a0Bike Patrol also allows for more direct interaction with citizens of the community. \u00a0The Bike Patrol has been active since 1990.<\/p>\n<p>Bike Patrol is an extremely useful tool in Law Enforcement. \u00a0The Fond du Lac Police Department uses bicycles to proactively patrol hard-to-reach areas where squad cars have difficulty. \u00a0 Bike Patrol Officers are deployed at all times of the day and are not limited to any area of the city. \u00a0If there is a known neighborhood problem, Bike Patrol can be used to conduct covert operations or, in some cases, simply let their presence be known. \u00a0During special events such as Walleye Weekend the Bike Patrol Officers are invaluable. \u00a0Officers can respond quickly to disturbances and have been utilized in finding lost children on many occasions.<\/p>\n<p>Bike Patrol is also used in our parks and high traffic areas.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":59,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-207","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
