Watersheds are those land areas that catch rain or snow and drain to specific marshes, streams, rivers, lakes, or to ground water.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><h5 id=\"bodyNorm\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"picgap2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fdl.wi.gov\/wastewater\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/02\/FdL_Sample_Boat_5312017083307.jpg\" alt=\"\" align=\"right\" \/>Fond du Lac County Watershed Sampling<\/h5>\n<p>In 2011, the Fond du Lac Regional Wastewater Treatment &amp; Resource Recovery Facility began sampling six river and lake locations in the City of Fond du Lac.\u00a0 The program was expanded to 18 sites throughout Fond du Lac County in 2015 in an attempt to evaluate the current water quality conditions throughout the county watershed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-268 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fdl.wi.gov\/wastewater\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/01\/WATERSHED-4-300x225.jpg\"
