fusion-text-2\" style=\"--awb-text-transform:none;\"><p>The Fond du Lac Water Utility is taking steps to minimize lead levels in your drinking water.\u00a0 While lead is not found in Fond du Lac\u2019s well water, lead may enter drinking water if it dissolves from lead water service lines, internal plumbing, or fixtures containing lead, especially when water stands unused for several hours.<\/p>\n<p>Lead service lines were typically installed before 1950.\u00a0 Lead pipes are dull gray in color and are soft enough to be easily scratched with a house key.\u00a0 Also, a magnet will not stick to a lead pipe.\u00a0 Water service lines are broken up into two sections.\u00a0 The public side and the private side.\u00a0 Click <a
