The City of Fond du Lac published its proposed 2027 budget and capital improvement plan. The proposal includes a balanced budget and a reserve that’s healthier than it has been this century. The 2027 budget and capital improvement plan continue investments in public safety, streets, and parks as well as a focus on expanding residential construction. The capital improvement plan also provides for the reconstruction of Division Street, the completion of the Police Department renovation, and roughly $1 million in investments in our park system, among many other investments across all departments.
The city continued to see growth in property values in all categories as equalized values exceeded $5 billion in the city’s history. External audits and reviews by bond rating agencies have confirmed the city’s strong financial position and stability.
