All bids shall be prepared on the bid forms provided in the specifications and shall remain attached thereto, and shall be addressed to City of Fond du Lac, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Bids may not be delivered by facsimile transmission or other telecommunication or electronic means. Each bid’s outermost envelope shall be properly identified on the face thereof “BID FOR CONCRETE REPAIR AT MACY ST RAMP, NO. 2026-089”. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (30) thirty days after the opening of said bids, without the consent of the Procurement Administrator. The City of Fond du Lac may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of any reason. The failure to make a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action against the City. The City also reserves the right to waive any formalities or informalities in bidding, and to select the bid that, in its opinion, will best serve the interests of the City.
No bid will be opened unless the “Bidder’s Proof of Responsibility” for 2026 is filed and approved at least (5) five calendar days before the scheduled time for opening of bids. Request for Quote 26-04: Mobile Vehicle Barrier Deployment
The City of Fond du Lac is seeking a Contractor to deploy Mobile Vehicle Barriers (MVBs) for certain public events. The City has (486) Advance Security Technologies MVB3x – 3rd Gen MVBs and will stage them at the approximate desired locations, and the Contractor will be responsible for deploying and activating the barricades prior to events and then demobilizing them afterwards for the City to pick up and store.
The City hosts approximately (60) events per year that require MVBs to be deployed. Events may be added or removed from the count as needed. The Contractor shall supply enough manpower to complete deployment prior to the event and complete demobilization after the event. The timing of this work (example: 1 hour before the event, or ½ hour after the event) shall be coordinated with the Special Events Committee or Public Safety and may vary depending on the type of event (Example: Farmer’s Market, Parade, etc.). Lists of locations to be barricaded shall be provided by the City for each event at least 1 week prior to the event. The City will continue its current operation to stage the MVB’s at set locations as determined by the Special Events Committee.
