SCOPE OF WORK
The City of Fond du Lac is accepting sealed bids for the furnishing of labor, services, materials, and equipment for the construction of a proposed rooftop photovoltaic system.

All bids shall be prepared on the bid forms provided in the specifications and shall remain attached thereto, and shall be addressed to City of Fond du Lac, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Bids may not be delivered by facsimile transmission or other telecommunication or electronic means. Each bid envelope shall be properly identified on the face thereof “BID FOR LIBRARY ROOFTOP PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM, NO. 2024-031”. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (30) thirty days after the opening of said bids, without the consent of the Deputy Procurement Officer. The City of Fond du Lac may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of any reason. The failure to make a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action against the City. The City also reserves the right to waive any formalities or informalities in bidding, and to select the bid that, in its opinion, will best serve the interests of the City.

No bid will be opened unless the “Bidder’s Proof of Responsibility” for 2024 is filed and approved at least (5) five days before the scheduled time for opening of bids. Reference is made to Section 66.0901(2) & (3) Wisconsin Statutes. The Director of Public Works decision as to qualifications shall be final.

  • The City of Fond du Lac is seeking proposals from qualified contractors remove and replace the existing Senior Center roof system.

Time and Place of Bid Opening: Sealed proposals will be received at the City Administrative Offices, on the fourth floor of the Fond du Lac City County Government Center, 160 South Macy Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until 2:00 PM CST, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Prepare proposals on the proposal forms provided in the specifications. Submit proposals in person or by mail addressed to City of Fond du Lac, P.O. Box 150, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, 54936-0150. Identify “SEALED BID – 2024 MARQUETTE ST & REES ST RECONSTRUCTION” on the face of each proposal envelope. As soon as practical, after the closing time to receive proposals, a public opening will be held in the City Manager’s Conference Room. A summary of the proposals will be made available.

Pre-Bid Qualifications: All bidders shall be required to file or have on file a valid 2024 Bidder’s Proof of Responsibility form with the Engineering Division, not less than 5 days prior to the time of opening of these bids. Only bidders who have demonstrated their qualifications to perform the work will be permitted to bid.

Proposal Guaranty: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty, payable to the City of Fond du Lac, in the amount of 5% of the gross bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted as the successful bid, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and performance bond within 10 days after award of contract.

Legal Provisions: This contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of sections 62.15, 66.0901, and 779.14 of Wisconsin Statutes.

The rehabilitation of a single-family house located at 103 3rd Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to include a bid by a general contractor or sub-contractors for the following listed items and more: Exterior siding, metal work, interior demolition and finishing which may include; new kitchen and bathrooms cabinetry and fixtures, drywall and finish work, painting, all new flooring, new

The work shall consist of removing approximately 125 Ash and Norway Maple trees with and an average DBH (diameter breast height) of 19” from the parks, terraces or other public lands. Some trees could approach 90’ in height.
