City offices in the City/County Government Center will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
The Municipal Service Center will also be closed on Monday, September 1st for all services, including refuse and recycling collection and bulky waste drop off. There will be no refuse and recycling collection on Monday, September 1st.
- Refuse/garbage normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, September 2nd with the normal Tuesday collection. Please have your materials set out by 5:00 am on Tuesday to accommodate the additional collections. Yard waste and brush may still be dropped off during the holiday hours.
- Recycling collection, performed by Waste Management, will have a one-day service delay throughout the remainder of week.

The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, September 1st.
The Fond du Lac Public Library will be closed for Labor Day Weekend beginning Saturday, August 30th through Monday, September 1st.
City Transit Buses will not operate on Monday, September 1st, but will resume regular routes on September 2nd.
As always, Police and Fire Departments will be fully operational throughout the holiday period.
