The City is currently accepting applications for the position of Part-time Bus Driver. The purpose of the position is to operate a public bus in the transportation of citizens according to predetermined routes and timetables during the hours of 5:45 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applicants must have flexibility to work split shifts and assume other route assignments when needed. Work schedule will be a minimum of 20 hours/week, and other hours as needed to conduct Transit services.
Hourly contractual wage – $23.24 at time of hire; $24.42 within 6 months; $25.60 within 12 months; $26.62 within 18 months; $27.94 within 24 months; $29.11 within 30 months (2022 – 2024 wage schedule). In addition, pandemic hazard pay equal to four dollars ($4) per hour for all hours worked in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The successful candidate will have an excellent driving record and possess a Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements. Applicants will need to possess and carry a cell phone to conduct transit emergency call-ins.
Applicants will be required to send proof of all endorsements. Good customer service skills are also required. Previous bus driving experience preferred.
