The Fond du Lac Public Library is seeking a limited term employee to fulfill duties and responsibilities related to revising, researching, and updating “Foot of the Lake: an early history of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin”. The book was published in 1998 under the direction of the Fond du Lac Public Library and has been used by area elementary school students and adults to learn more about the overall history of the Fond du Lac area. The Library aims to broaden the scope of the information and include events of the last 25 years.

Work is to be completed no later than September 30, 2024. The Writer will work closely with the Information and Outreach Services staff and the Foot of the Lake Advisory Group to determine content, length, and subject matter of the updated book. Previous experience researching history, writing, and working with community advisory committees is desirable.
