until 1:30 P.M. CST, Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud

not limited to the following described approximate quantities of work:
SCOPE OF WORK
Spot surface preparation, power washing, and overcoating the exterior, surface preparing and
repainting the interior wet, and spot surface preparing with coating the interior dry of a 500,000-gallon,
single pedestal spheroid elevated tank in addition to a new cathodic protection system, adding a new
handrail, and minor tank modifications.

Rehabilitation of a reservoir on Trowbridge Drive, including replacing the access hatch and the roof vent,
adding a new exterior ladder with fall protection system, adding a roof handrail, modifying the existing
over flow pipe and adding a new penetration through the reservoir wall, rerouting the drain piping,
surface preparation and coating of the existing exterior roof, and restoration of a berm on site.

Identify “SEALED BID – 2024 MARQUETTE ST & REES ST RECONSTRUCTION” on the face of each proposal envelope. As soon as practical, after the closing time to receive proposals, a public opening will be held in the City Manager’s Conference Room. A summary of the proposals will be made available.

Only bidders who have demonstrated their qualifications to perform the work will be permitted to bid.
Proposal Guaranty: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty, payable to the City of Fond du Lac, in the amount of 5% of the gross bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted as the successful bid, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and performance bond within 10 days after award of contract.
Legal Provisions: This contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of sections 62.15, 66.0901, and 779.14 of Wisconsin Statutes.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed for the best interests of the City and to waive any irregularities.
