The City of Fond du Lac is accepting submissions for the position of Transit Manager. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Public Works and will supervise, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Fond du Lac Area Transit (FDLAT) System including financial management, transit development, public relations and operations management, and procurement and contract management operations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required and Master’s Degree preferred in Public or Business Administration; or any combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license; a good driving record is required.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices including experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint; Ride Systems GPS Bus Tracking; Social Media; Financial Enterprise; Bus Surveillance Systems; WisDOT Transit Management System; Appian for Federal reporting; and Token Transit applications with ability to learn additional computer programs as needed
- Superior oral and written communications skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with city officials, fellow employees and the public
- Ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision
- Ability to act independently and confidently in situations of stress
- Knowledge of Public Transportation Operations is preferred, with additional training or experience in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliant procurement practices a plus.

SALARY RANGE: We offer a competitive compensation package ($83,258 – $96,000/annually) based upon knowledge, skills, and abilities with potential to receive additional step increases based on meeting and/or exceeding goals/expectations; annual COLA and step increases pending City Council approval of budgets; and future promotional opportunities in alignment with succession and career path.
