The City provides a comprehensive health insurance plan for employees. Full-time and part-time employees who are regularly scheduled a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for benefits with the City of Fond du Lac. Seasonal, Long-term Seasonal, and Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits.
Term life insurance is provided for full-time and part-time employees in accordance with terms of the group life insurance contract. The City pays the full cost of all non-optional premiums during employment with the City.
The City of Fond du Lac provides the opportunity to purchase additional insurance at the employee’s expense such as optional life insurance and, in some cases, optional long-term disability insurance.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
EAP provides employees with access to confidential and professional assistance when they need it. When employees of the City of Fond du Lac, or their family members, recognize a concern EAP can help resolve them.
It is the policy of the City of Fond du Lac to encourage education and training in order to improve the qualifications of employees in their positions and to prepare them for advancement in their service to the City. Employees who are eligible for educational assistance must enter into an agreement with the City covering the terms and conditions for receiving educational assistance.
