What is SHARED RIDE TAXI?
Shared Ride Taxi is a general public, demand-responsive transportation service provided through an agreement between Fond du Lac Area Transit and a private taxi operator serving the City of Fond du Lac.
The service is available to individuals who:
* Reside more than ¼ mile from a fixed-route bus line, or
* Wish to travel to or from locations more than ¼ mile from a fixed-route bus line,
* And whose trip remains within the designated Shared Ride Taxi service area.
Trips are provided on a shared-ride basis, meaning passengers traveling in similar directions may share the vehicle.

Who is eligible to use SHARED RIDE TAXI?
Shared Ride Taxi is available to any individual within:
* The City of Fond du Lac
* The Village of North Fond du Lac
Eligibility requirements:
* Pickup and/or drop-off locations must be more than ¼ mile from a fixed bus route, and
* The trip must occur within the designated Shared Ride Taxi service area

What are SHARED RIDE TAXI days and hours of service?
City of Fond du Lac
Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Village of North Fond du Lac
Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
No Saturday, Sunday, or standard holiday service.
There are two special SHARED RIDE TAXI major holiday service exceptions:
Shared ride taxi will operate in the City and Village when fixed route buses do not operate from 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
How do I schedule a SHARED RIDE TAXI trip?
* Call Shared Ride Taxi by 4:30 p.m. on the weekday prior to your trip.
* Same-day requests will be accommodated based on vehicle availability and capacity.
