Forestry

The City of Fond du Lac Forestry maintains 15,600 street trees and 3278 park trees (2024). The Division has 3 full time ISA certified Arborists which includes the City Forester. The Division work is also supplemented by the construction and maintenance division and park personnel. The Forestry Division uses contractual services for much of its tree planting, large tree removals, large tree pruning, insect and disease control, and stump grinding. In addition, The Division also hosts an annual Arbor Day celebration. All the Forestry operations are overseen by the City Forester.
