Between 2017 & 2018 the Utility received $500,000 grant money through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program. This money was used to fund the Utility’s private lead service replacement program in 2017, 2018, & 2019. Recently this grant money has run out.
The Utility has been approved by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to implement a Private Lead Service Line Replacement Program (PLSL). This approval allows the Utility to financially assist property owners in replacing their PLSL. The financial assistance may be provided in the form of a grant for 50% (max of $2,000) and a loan for the remainder of the cost associated with the replacement of the PLSL.
