The purpose of our wastewater treatment facility is to collect and treat wastewater before it is released back into the environment. The duties of the wastewater staff include: maintenance of the collection system and treatment plant, handling customer concerns and problems, and monitoring water quality and effectiveness of treatment. The wastewater treatment process is used to convert wastewater into an effluent that can be returned to the water cycle with minimum impact on the environment.
The Fond du Lac Regional Wastewater Treatment & Resource Recovery Facility is comprised of three major areas: Operations, Maintenance and Laboratory. Each of these areas is vital to the successful operation of the plant.
